Add-on Products & Enhancements
Since its inception, IDOM has responded to the needs of IBS-V5 users. In fact, IDOM is the world leader in banking and systems expertise for all IBS applications; many of our staff were members of the firm which developed the IBS product. We provide enhancements and add-on products which increase the efficiency of the IBS-V5 software. IDOM also provides all vendor services for IBS, including maintenance, 24-hour support and a hotline service.
VASE (Verification and Automation Scheduling End-of-Days)
VASE is a software product which uses an automated scheduler to execute the individual IBS functions and control the order of events. VASE simplifies the running and controlling of both the end and start-of-day processing for the IBS-V5 software. This is achieved by the provision of two functions, one for start of day and the other for end-of-day, which initiate the processing.
The function which initiates the end-of-day processing checks that each module is currently Open for Business. The Scheduler functions for controlling the end-of-day processing are then started. Once started, all "end-of-day" processes are processed based on the dependencies set forth. The VASE start-of-day function prompts the user to confirm the next IBS business day. After the user verification of the dates, the function proceeds to execute the start-of-day procedures for all IBS applications. This function assures consistency among the applications while reducing time and user intervention.
VASE is adaptable to all IBS applications and can be tailored for any site specific requirements. VASE is also adaptable to other DEC base applications as well.
DDA Performance Tuning
IDOM has designed and developed several enhancement techniques to increase the overall DDA/Nostro performance. Techniques were put in place to address several major areas of the DDA/Nostro end-of-day cycle: Aging of History Balances, Global Interest Rate processing, Deferred General Ledger file, simultaneous execution of DDA and Nostro end-of-days, and separation of the report processing from end-of-day processing to name a few.
IDOM's Turbo MT addresses specific performance issues facing the IBS Money Transfer application and provides improvement to logging and auditing functionality. Turbo MT increases the performance of the overflow system, start-of-day processing, transaction processing and various other areas of Money Transfer. The logging and auditing improvements include better diagnostics, reporting on volumes and times and enhancements to the log file.
IDF (IBS Developers Facility)
IDF was designed to give IBS developers a quick and easy method of navigating though IBS source code and examining IBS data file content. It provides developers with an easy method of collecting data about the current state of the IBS source, and then allows access to the collected data in the form of a user-friendly, SMG-driven inquiry program. IDF also provides file handling information and some technical analysis and statistics on the software. Additionally, IDF is a documentation tool which provides a single access point to documentation pertaining to IBS listings and the IBS environment.
